Guatemalans march in a traditional pre-Christmas celebration, demanding the defense of democracy and protesting the prosecutor's attempt to impede President-elect Bernardo Arevalo's inauguration on January 14. Indigenous authorities from the northwest of the country led the march, which started from the HQ of the Attorney General's Office, where a weeks-long anti-corruption sit-in unfolded.
