Aid trucks await inspection upon arriving from Egypt on the Israeli side of the Kerem Shalom border crossing with the southern Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. "Over 300 trucks have already been transferred via Kerem Shalom directly to Gaza", says the head of coordination and liaison at COGAT, the Israeli defence ministry body responsible for Palestinian civilian affairs.
