Drinkers are developing a taste for Turkish sparkling wines which, based on native grapes and produced using traditional methods, are gradually making a place on festive tables around the world. "We believed in the potential for wine production here and planted vineyards in 2003 and collected our first harvest in 2006," says Candas Misir of the Vinkara winery near Ankara.
