Hundreds take to the streets of Madrid outside Spain's foreign affairs ministry to demand a ceasefire in Gaza and "justice in Palestine" as the war between Israel and Hamas reaches its 13th week with no end in sight. The war began with Hamas's bloody October 7 attacks, which left about 1,140 people dead in Israel, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on official figures. The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza says Israel's fierce military campaign against the Palestinian Islamist group in the besieged territory has killed at least 21,672 people, the majority of them civilians.
