A group of doctors that have traveled from abroad to the Gaza Strip are helping perform complex surgeries at the European hospital in Khan Yunis. "This visit is sort of an investigative visit to figure out the shortages and arrange for other visits in order to suit the needs of the people of Gaza," says Ahmed Mkhalati, the head of plastic surgery department at Shifa hospital. Anas, a visiting doctor from Ontario adds, "the specialities needed are anaesthesia, intensive care, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and orthopaedics." IMAGES
