Description
Argentina's Congress is meeting in a special commission convened by President Javier Milei to pass a sweeping 'omnibus' bill that critics say is unconstitutional. The right-wing president's government is pushing for approval of the law, which will be the first step in implementing his economic plan. Hundreds of people gathered outside the National Congress to reject the measures, which range from abolishing Argentina's primary elections and charging university tuition fees to privatising 41 state-owned companies and strengthening Milei's economic powers throughout his term.
