A few hundred demonstrators protest in Paris against Emmanuel Macron's remarks in support of Gerard Depardieu. Macron recently courted controversy in with his staunch defence of actor Gerard Depardieu, who has been charged with rape and faces other sexual assault allegations, saying he was being subjected to a "manhunt". "We think it's very serious that a President of the Republic should speak out like this, without taking the victims into account," says Suzy Rojtman, spokesperson for the National Collective for Women's Rights.
