Description
"We feel like cash cows" says Franco-Comorian lawyer Maliza Said Soilihi, as the Comorian diaspora in France expresses indignation at once again being unable to take part in Sunday's election. "We're called in when there are material and financial needs, but then for the rest we're told to move aside" says the 39-year-old former Marseille city councillor who has appealed to the Comorian supreme court to allow the diaspora's right to vote. Another member of the community, Assoumani Said, believes that Moroni has "forgotten that we make the Comoros progress". Sunday's vote is widely expected to hand incumbent President Azali Assoumani a third term in office, with the opposition divided between participation and boycott. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
