Description
Opposition candidates in Sunday's Comoros presidential election denounce what they say is electoral fraud in the first round of voting, which got off to a delayed start. "As of one pm, the process was halted by the Comoria army" says Mouigni Baraka Said Soilihi, speaking on behalf of the five opposition candidates. "Comorians were not allowed to vote for the president they wanted" he adds. Incumbent President Azali Assoumani's government has demanded proof to back up the allegations, with campaign director Houmedi Msaidie saying they are "always the language of opponents". Prior to the vote, several opposition figures had urged citizens to boycott the poll. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
