Working at a research centre in Kyiv, a team of forensic experts pore of the wreckage of missiles and drones used by Russia in its war on Ukraine. They're tracing the origins of parts used in weaponry and confirming that, despite sanctions, Moscow is using components imported from overseas. "I have already mentioned the United States, Taiwan, Singapore, Switzerland, Germany and others" says Oleksiy, one of those working at the centre, sitting next to a carburetor from a Shahed drone that boasts a "Made in Ireland" plate. "The fuel hoses are made by a well-known French company" Oleksiy explains. Earlier this month, a report by the Kyiv School of Economics repeated Ukraine's concerns that Moscow is bypassing sanctions.
