Description
Security forces beefed up their presence in the capital of Pakistan's western province of Balochistan, Quetta, following an exhange of strikes with Iran.
On January 18, Pakistan launched deadly strikes against militant targets in Iran in apparent retaliation for Iranian air raids on its territory two days before. Nine people, including three women and four children, were killed in the Pakistani strikes, according to Iran's IRNA news agency. Earlier Iranian strikes against what it described as "terrorist" targets in Pakistan killed at least two children. "We have lost invaluable lives which includes our precious children," says Abdual Hameed. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
