Description
The "All About Apple" Museum in the northern Italian town of Savona contains almost all of the tech giant's personal computers, accessories and prototypes produced since the company's founding in 1976. The computers on display are switched on and functioning, and can be used by the public.
"Seeing such old machinery still working is a great emotion for a fan of computer science and modern history like me," says one visitor.
The 24th of January marks 40 years since the launch of the Apple Macintosh, the first PC with a user-friendly mouse and graphical interface that helped the machines enter the everyday lives of people for the first time. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
