Description
"If one day the fascists harm me somehow, I leave it to you to do what you have to do to restore justice and peace in Venezuela. Activate the Bolivarian fury!," shouts President Nicolas Maduro in front of a crowd of supporters in Caracas. Thousands marched in Venezuela to support Maduro, who accused his opponents of assassination plots, while the opposition denounced intimidation and the arrest of activists.
The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) called for nationwide demonstrations on January 23, on the occasion of the fall of the military dictatorship of Marcos Perez Jimenez in 1958. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
