The Agaete Valley on the Canary Island of Gran Canaria is home to some of the very few coffee plantations in Europe. Preserving a family tradition that attracts thousands of tourists to the area each year, around 50 producers "put quality first, not quantity," says Inocencio Lugo Garcia, whose son, Victor Lugo Jorge, is also a coffee grower.
