Thousands of Portuguese police officers and gendarmes demonstrate in the streets of Lisbon demanding the expansion of a bonus granted only to inspectors of the judicial police. "These professionals are exhausted from working for little and being seen and treated as secondary" says Bruno Pereira, a Police Union representative present. According to the unions, around 10,000 marched towards the Portuguese Parliament building in silence, dressed in civilian clothes and carrying banners bearing slogans like "united police" and "equality, dignity."
