Britain's Posy Simmonds wins the Grand Prix at France's Angoulême International Comics Festival, the award for original work in graphic novels. The author of "Gemma Bovery" is the first British and the fifth woman in 50 years to win this prize, the most prestigious in comics. Simmonds, aged 78, was unable to make the trip to France.
