High-level US delegation, on a mission to strengthen security cooperation with Ecuador, hand over to the Ecuadorian Armed Forces equiopment valued at $2.4 million. Commander of the United States Southern Command Laura Richardson and US Ambassador to Ecuador Michael Fitzpatrick led the handover before Joint Command chief Jaime Vela, who was awarded the US Legion of Merit with the rank of officer.
