In the streets of Yamoussoukro, the 'massa', passenger transport lorries, compete against each other with decorations bearing the effigies of football players. Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland, Wilfried Zaha, Gervinho... all these football 'stars' parade through the streets with their photos painted behind the 'massa'. "It's just a decoration, but in a few ways it attracts customers," says Sip Tchera, a "massa" driver who has commissioned the famous decorator Lopoa Kouassi Bi, who paints around three lorries a day.
