Description
In Antarctica, Colombian researcher Paulo Tigreros uses a net to collect tiny plastic particles, aiming to assess the level of pollution in one of the world's best-preserved areas. The mesh functions like a sieve, allowing water through while retaining solids in the Gerlache Strait. Tigreros will analyze the collected particles to determine the presence of microplastics, conducted as part of the X Colombian Antarctic Expedition aboard the scientific ship ARC Simon Bolivar, operated by the Colombian Navy.
