South African president Cyril Ramaphosa delivers a keynote address on the first day of the 4-day annual Mining Indaba African mining conference in Cape Town. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year the conference aims to facilitate dialogue and provide a platform for mining industry investors and mine owners. During his keynote address Ramaphosa made a plea to investors to ensure that communities around mines also benefit from the mining.
