French President Emmanuel Macron announces that he would give a speech on Europe on April 25 at the Sorbonne, as he had done in September 2017 to set out his major European guidelines. "I'll give a bit of the direction of what the country has done and where we're going and especially for the years to come," says the head of state at a press conference in Brussels. As for the June 9 European elections, Macron says he will be involved in the election campaign "at the appropriate moments, in the appropriate format and framework". SOUNDBITE
