Images of the prison, northwest of Barcelona, in which former Brazilian international footballer Dani Alves is being held ahead of his release, pending an appeal against his rape conviction in a one million euro bail agreement. Alves' expected release comes after a ruling by a Barcelona court, delivered a day after the 40-year-old's lawyer requested his release on the grounds that he had already served a quarter of his four-and-a-half-year term in pre-trial detention.
