As the sun sets over the Bosphorus, a long queue forms on a street in Istanbul as people wait for iftar -- the evening meal that breaks Ramadan's daily fast. As inflation levels soar in Turkey, many worshippers cannot afford to prepare iftar at home this year. Instead, they rely on meal donations from local authorities. "When you do the maths, and you also have to eat enough, nobody has the budget for it.
