'This is something that is quite a strong marker of Russia's strategic failure in its attack on Ukraine,' says Thierry Burkhard, French Chief of the Defence Staff, as he welcomed his Swedish counterpart on his first trip abroad since Sweden joined NATO. 'When Sweden and Finland join NATO, it completely changes the geometry of the battlefield,' he added. SOUNDBITE
