Tens of thousands gather in Diyarbakir, Turkey's largest Kurdish-majority city, to celebrate Nowruz, an ancient festival marking the beginning of spring and the start of the new year in the Kurdish calendar. "It is our priority as Kurds, it is our spring festival. (...) We feel enthusiasm and joy during Nowruz, as our people come together and unite," says one participant in the celebrations.
