Rejecting high-definition televisions, tablets and video game consoles, many Hungarian parents have chosen to entertain their children with filmstrips, a century-old storytelling medium which involves projecting colourful images on to a wall, one at a time. "In our childhood it was quite common because it was almost the only way you could watch cartoons," says Peter Horvath who has introduced filmstrip to his young children.
