In the run-up to the Olympic Games, the Ile-de-France prefecture and Haropa Port are carrying out checks to ensure that commercial and private barges are properly connected to the city's sewerage system. Christophe Noël du Payrat, chief of staff to the prefect of the Ile-de-France region, explains that "230 barges have been connected and the last 20 will be approved in the next few weeks".
