Images of Cuban power stations, fuel refineries and streelights as Cubans experience long outages that have left some areas without power for up to 14 hours a day in March. This sparked rare protests in Santiago de Cuba, the country's second largest city, on March 17.
Cuba's power generation system consists of eight aging thermoelectric plants, as well as generators and eight Turkey-owned power ships, all of which are affected by a shortage of diesel fuel for operation. IMAGES
