Long queues of trucks form at Bulgaria's border with Romania over the Danube, where weary drivers have to spend long hours waiting to cross on their way to Western Europe. The two Balkan neighbours will join the Schengen free travel area from March 31 but controls will be lifted only on air and sea borders.
