Metres away from the concrete and steel fence separating the Gaza Strip from Egypt, children fly paper kites high in the sky -- a welcome distraction from the horrors of war. "This activity has unexpectedly brought us relief in a way that we wouldn't have expected... We only reached this feeling while we're among our children, picturing ourselves flying like the kites we're holding", says Haitham Abu Ajra, a 34-year-old Palestinian who resorted to kite flying to cheer up his children who have survived nearly six months of terrifying Israeli bombardment.
