Supporters of uMkhonto we Sizwe (MK) party, former president Jacob Zuma's new party, are gathered outside a court in Johannesburg where Zuma is present, as lawyers debate on whether he will be allowed to appear on the ballot in May elections. Zuma has appealed a decision by electoral officials to bar him from the vote over a 2021 conviction.
