Senegal's newly elected President, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, arrives at the Grand Mosque of Dakar to join other worshippers for Eid al-Fitr prayers, as muslims around the world celebrate the festival which marks the end of the Ramadan fast. "By the grace of God, we were able to start the fast, have a peaceful election campaign in Senegal, have a calm and serene election in Senegal and choose the President of the Republic in peace," Faye says in remarks at the mosque following prayers, referring to the postponed presidential election which took place during Ramadan.
