Description
Croatians in Zagreb say they believe corruption is prevalent in their country as they prepare to cast their vote in parliamentary elections on 17 April. The ruling conservative HDZ party (Christian Democratic Union) are hoping to win a third consecutive term. Despite accusations of corruption which have seen several ministers step down in recent years, the party continues to enjoy a steady lead ahead of the poll. "Corruption cannot be resolved by election posters and campaigns. The fight against corruption should be discussed from childhood on and at grass-root level," says law student Serbastijan Bujan.
