Description
Despite the rise of smartwatches around the world, leading industry figures at the Geneva Watches and Wonders shows say it's not the end of the road for mechanical watches. "I have no fears about the future of the mechanical watch - it's still an art piece," says Patek Philippe President Thierry Stern. Edouard Meylan, CEO of the H. Moser brand, says smartwatches even help attract a new clientele to traditional watchmaking, people who might never have worn watches otherwise". IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
