Description
On a stretch of grass in an impoverished Johannesburg township, a group of party activists introduce Songezo Zibi to the Alberton community. Zibi is the head of Rise Mzansi -- a small party among a cohort of new groups hoping to tap into widespread voter discontent with the ruling ANC in South Africa's general elections on May 29. "The biggest complaint people have is: we don't trust politicians, we won't trust our leaders, we don't trust political parties," Zibi tells AFP. "We took that message and we turned it around to say: we need new leaders." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
