Peruvian Shaman Lauro Henestroza lights a cigarette, known as mapacho, and prepares ayahuasca while singing a traditional song honoring the spirits of the ancestral drink. Currently residing in Mexico City, Henestroza discusses the challenges he faces in returning to Peru due to outstanding debts owed to the Mexican government after he was arrested for transporting ayahuasca.
