"Young people also have the right to self-determination," says Peter Sidlund Ponkala, President of the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights (RFSL), as the Scandinavian country's parliament is set to vote on a new bill lowering the age for administrative gender transition from 18 to 16 years.
