UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron visits Kyrgyzstan, the first such visit by Britian's top diplomat to the Central Asian country, during a whistle-stop tour of the region which will also see him visit Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Mongolia. In a press conference following bilateral negotiations with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubayev, Cameron emphasises the need to develop investment in critical mineral mining and hydroelectric power, with the UK already Kyrgyzstan's top export destination for its purchase of refined petroleums.
