"Swimming in the Seine and the Marne is one of the events of the century," says French Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, at the inauguration of a rainwater treatment plant in Champigny-sur-Marne, south-east of Paris. The plant is a key facility in the bathing plan, designed to ensure that Olympic events can be held in the Seine this summer before the sites are opened to the general public from 2025. SOUNDBITE
