With Spain's Pedro Sanchez announcing that he would remain as Prime Minister despite an investigation into his wife Begona Gomez for suspected influence peddling and corruption, Miguel Bernad, the far right-linked Secretary General of anti-corruption pressure group Manos Limpias (Clean Hands), says that Sanchez "should have already presented his resignation". Manos Limpias, which has presented a litany of unsuccessful lawsuits against politicians in the past, brought the complaint in response to which a Madrid court opened its investigation into Gomez.
