Description
On May the 7th, the world celebrates the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's monumental Ninth Symphony, written in the shade of the thermal cures in the town of Baden bei Wien. "It has always been known that this house is considered the house of the Ninth, because Beethoven also worked on it here. There are various contemporary witness accounts of this, including sketches in his music notes, but there are also letters," explains Ulrike Scholda, director of the now-turned museum Beethoven House, once rented by the famous German-born composer.
