Description
Three French veterans -- William Schilardi, Jean-Yves Guinard and André Mayer visit Him Lam hill (Beatrice hill), a French strongpoint in Dien Bien Phu that fell in the first hours of the Viet Minh assault launched on March 13, 1954.
Under the pouring rain, French veteran Schilardi recalls the memory of the battle 70 years go: "We lived in this atmosphere of humidity and rain which pierced us." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
