For the first time in Mexico's presidential elections, those awaiting trial are voting in polling stations set up inside prisons in the capital, Mexico City, and in the state of Jalisco.
Prison voting adds another historic nuance to Mexico's 2024 presidential election, in which for the first time two women have emerged as favourites to lead a country with a long tradition of machismo and a high crime rate.
