"We don't expect to be attacked in a police station (...) it's something that seems incredible," says David-Olivier Reverdy, deputy national secretary of the Alliance Police nationale union, outside the central police station in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, where a man who took an officer's gun on May 9 fired it after being arrested for attacking a woman with a box cutter.
