61-year-old Lyubov Oleksiivna Nikolaieva didn’t want to leave her home in the village of Lyptsi, in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. But she ran out of options after shelling became too intense and is now at an evacuation center in Kharkiv. “It became very scary. We stayed there until the last moment,” she says.
