A group of volunteers help evacuate dogs and their owners from the villages of Ruski Tyshky and Lyptsi in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region, after Russian troops surged through defence lines on 10 May. For Elena Gubenko, who refused to leave her home throughout the war, came a non-negotiable pack of over a hundred dogs that she rescued over the years.
