Dozens of empty trucks are parked along the southwestern side of Rafah's border with Egypt. They are waiting for a signal from the United Nations to collect aid from the Rafah crossing for distribution across the starved Gaza Strip. "We're supposed to take the aid from inside the crossing. We're waiting for the agency to tell us what to do and we will do it," says Palestinian truck driver Waleed Salmi. According to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, nearly 450,000 people have been displaced from Rafah since Israel began issuing evacuation orders for the southern Gazan city on May 6.
