Description
"It's a sad day," said a tearful Charlotte Lewis after the hearing, as a French court acquitted French-Polish filmmaker Roman Polanski of defaming British actress Charlotte Lewis after she accused him of raping her when she was a teenager. The director's lawyer, Delphine Meillet, hailed it as "an extremely important day". "It has been recognised by a court that we can question the word of an accuser," she insisted.
