Description
Cannes Festival general delegate Thierry Frémaux insists that “there are no controversies coming from the festival”, while rumours of #MeToo-related accusations have been circulating on social networks for weeks. Thierry Frémaux paid tribute to Francis Ford Coppola, who returns to the competition 45 years after his last Palme d'Or, and to Greta Gerwig, president of the jury for this 77th edition, saying she is “a filmmaker who is quite ideal of what the Cannes Festival represents”.
