People outside the Banska Bystrica hospital, where Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is staying after being shot, react in horror to the attack. "Feel free to throw a tomato or an egg at him" say Karol, "but don't come with a gun". Nina, a student, says she is "afraid that such attacks will be repeated". Earlier on Thursday, Slovakia's deputy prime minister announced that Fico's condition had been stabilised but remained "very serious", after the 59-year-old leader was shot multiple times as he left a government meeting.
